I’m Ursala Garbrecht — resume writer, job search coach, and your partner as you transition your career.
My unique gift is helping you uncover your strengths — and then helping you articulate those strengths — so you can compete in a complicated job market. I’m energized by identifying what sets you apart from other applicants, and I enjoy working with creative, collaborative people and those who want to make a difference by helping others.
I’ve had an interest in career development since I was a teenager where I would interview fellow students and local job mentors about the skills they were learning and their dreams for the future for my hometown newspaper.
I have an action oriented personality, I like lists, and I like celebrating people in their element. I try not to take myself too seriously. I’m also spiritually oriented and I believe we each have a one-of-a-kind vocation. We all have a singular genius to share with the world, and I want to help people uncover and refine their unique vocation to serve their community.
In my free time, I enjoy the plethora of eclectic opportunities the Portland community offers, including meaningful connection with community, artistic and metaphysical events, non-violent communication, mediation, meditation, dance, yoga, place making and permaculture.
With over nine years of coaching experience, four years in career services, and a background in direct sales and recruitment, I’ve seen the job market from many angles. I use that unique perspective to help you bridge the gap to your next phase of meaningful work.
Does it sound like we would work well together?
Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls. —Joseph Campbell
